As a theatre teacher, I keep telling my kids "Take risks and respond honestly to each line as if it's the first time you've heard it...." and boy did this show give me a chance to practice what I preach. It's a special kind of terrifying right before you shout your first line, but you're wrapped in this feeling of love and support from both the audience and the other actors that it's so worth it. And everyone on the staff was so wonderful and helpful... what an absolute gift it was to be a part of the show.
