This has to easily be one of the most exhilarating, fresh, and unique theatre experiences Portland has to offer. Both as an actor and I’m sure as an audience member. The element of discovery is alive and electric in a room full of hundreds of people who are experiencing something new together. I feel incredibly respected when a company gives me full-license to just play and create moment-to-moment, and gives me a chance to be truly vulnerable. It forges this newfound love for the craft, and for the people who buy into all of it. The artists, the audience, everybody. We often tell ourselves to “trust the process," but in a situation where there such little process to trust, the people around you become the process. It’s very humbling. And loads of fun to boot. If I can hope to be so lucky, I can’t wait to do it again!
